How to Lighten the Dark Area of Eye - The Best Tips

Therefore, it is very important to have healthy habits, such as resting properly, drinking between a liter and a half and two liters of water per day and having an adequate diet to prevent and reduce dark circles.

In addition, you can resort to certain natural remedies that you can make yourself with very common ingredients. Apart from the fact that they can be more effective than the products purchased, they do not contain any type of chemical that can generate side effects or adverse effects and have a lower cost than commercial cosmetics.


Cucumber and Milk to Lighten the Contour of the Eyes

Cucumber and milk have soothing and moisturizing properties that help to significantly reduce the darkening of the area around the eyes.

To be effective, put the cucumber for one hour in the freezer so it is cold. Milk, better from cow and whole since fat is necessary for this treatment, must also be cold. Once you have these ingredients to clear the outline of your eyes with cucumber and milk, follow these steps:

  1. Cut about ten pieces of cucumber and put in a bowl with about 200 ml of milk.
  2. Wash the area around the eyes, wet two pieces of cucumber in the milk and place them over the closed eyes.
  3. For 20 minutes, continue to change the pieces of cucumber, previously soaked in milk, so that at all times they are cold.
  4. When you finish, wash the area again. You can do it twice a week.

Cocoa Butter and Olive Oil

Cocoa butter and olive oil are two products that provide a large number of nutrients and hydration for the skin and facilitate blood circulation.

To apply cocoa butter and olive oil around the eyes, mix about 50 grams of cocoa butter with 100 ml of olive oil in a bowl. When the mixture is homogeneous, soak two cotton disks in it and place them over your closed eyes for 10 minutes. Then remove them and, with the tips of your fingers, massage the area to absorb the remains. You can do it once every two days.

Chamomile Tea to Lighten the Contour of the Eyes

Chamomile helps to drain and lighten the area around the eyes, adding moisture to the fine and delicate skin that covers this part of the face. To use the chamomile infusion to eliminate dark circles and lighten the contour of your eyes follow these steps:


  1. Boil about 250 ml water and introduce two bags of chamomile.
  2. Wait until they are well soaked and take them out, letting them cool.
  3. After having thoroughly washed the area of your eyes, place the bags over your closed eyes for 15 minutes.
  4. Wash the area after finishing with warm water.
  5. You can repeat it every day in the morning.
